Collection is the problem, not calculation
Once you have the activity data, the arithmetic is the easy part. The difficulty is that the data arrives late, in inconsistent units, from people who do not work for you, and often as an attachment to an email that then has to be typed into a spreadsheet by somebody who was not there when it was agreed.
The platform treats collection as a workflow rather than an inbox. Requests go out, submissions come back against the building and period they belong to, and they wait in a review queue until somebody accepts them.

An accepted supplier submission traces like any other entry: the source it came from, the factor that priced it, and what the calculation excluded.
Why this decides vendor changes
Scope 3 is the most common reason an estate outgrows its first carbon tool. A system that can calculate Scope 3 but cannot help you collect it leaves the hardest part exactly where it was, which is with one person chasing attachments.
